Story
The US borders are closed, but not to protect the country from other threats like terrorists. It is instead closed to protect the world from a vampire infection that spreads like wildfire. The story is kind of kliché and the characters feels very flat and inhuman.

Art
The art his as black and unfocused as a ink splash on a pair of dirty glasses. With messy spots of chili con carne, and it is a good fucking thing. I love the sloppy art, every pen stroke feels alive. And that the art is so dark, it feels like your are fumbling in the the dark, like the characters.

Atmosphere
What it lacks in story it makes up for in art and atmosphere. The atmosphere is excellent, it's like a thick fog are laying over the whole story. You get the feeling of the infection on every bloodsucking page. And it is an quite unpleasant feeling.

Suspense
Thanks to the lack of character building are there little Suspense to speak of. Sure you want to know which characters will survive and who will become undead Freaks. But it ain't that thrilling, they could all die and sick blood in my opinion.

Story
It all playes out a couple of years after 9/11 and a unfuctional superhero group called the seven guns find them self in a extremely shitty situation after a member of the group has killed the president to stop corruption. The seven guns gets the blame, and a hunt is started to bring them down with any force necessary. The story is filled with over the top super violence, lies, betrayal, conspiracy and explosive action that would kick Micheal Bay in the nuts. The story has som interesting points, that are as current know on our corrupt big brother society, as they were when it was written. On the downside are the story quite thin sometimes, and are more driven by action than the interesting thoughts.

Art
The art is gruesome and dirty. There are much details in all the entrails and flying eyeballs that you get to see on the pages. It's kind of dark, but with a very nice finece to it that makes the pages pop out and feel almost like a own living gory organism.

Atmosphere
On the downside there aren't a lot of atmosphere to this comic. The characters lacks personality, they are mor like cardboard cutouts with badass comebacks to everything. But on the positive side, there are a unsettling dystopian atmosphere surrounding it all, that brings the environment some dimension.

Suspense
Sadly there aren't much Suspense. Much be course you don't care whatever the characters live or die. The only thing that holds me to read on is to know what motives John Horus who killed the president  had and what other plans he have.

Story
The story continues where we were left off in the last volume. The fight against the zombies has been taken to the big city. There are crumbled bulding everywhere, a pure post - apocalyptic feeling over it. There are infected at every turn. But some luck strikes them as there are a couple of living cops that fights against the zombies as well. Every hope for living seems lost, and extinction of the living breathing are almost inevitable.

Art
The excellent artist from the last volume have returned and it is as gritty, gory and vile as the last time. Even if the environment aren't as interesting this time.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere is pitch black. The city are no more then a pile of rubble and there are always a feeling off panic present.

Suspense
The comic put it's icy zombie claws in you and ju just have to know if the characters will survive or become a flesheating Ghoul. You really feel for the characters even if you don't know all that much about their background. They are made human with their own flaws and agenda, which means that you'll never know what will happen.

Story:
The story is typical zombie stuff with a minor twist to it. It begins with an young adult traveling to a island were he have grown up and everything seems pretty fine. But there are some darkness lurking in the mountains, an old mythical zombie gas that get spread through the air when the vulcano on the island erupts. Everything turns to a fucked up zombie shit storm, and escape from the island filled with flesh eating zombies are the only option.

Art:
I personally love the artstyle of this comic, it's gritty with very nice gory details. its all done with a finece that feels very personal and imersse you in the feeling of flesh rotten zombie virus.

Atmosphere:
The atmosphere is lead thick with a heavy hopelessness laying over it. The island feels very isolated and have an extreme eriee tone to it due to the location and that it all plays out during the night.

Suspense:
A traditional zombie story aren't usual that exacting, but there are something with Warren Ellis writing that grips you in the back with icy nails and holds you tight and want let you go until you have read all the issues.
