This week was homecoming week!, which meant new themes every day. It's all about the school spirit. The theme on Friday was homecoming, which meant bringing your mum to school, Pep rally and wearing something marron or gold. The pep rallies here are so fun, you cheer, dance to the music and watch the different clubs doing perfomances.
Yesterday, I went dress and shoe shopping for Homecoming, so now I am ready for Homecoming! Our homecoming game was also yesterday, but we didn't win! I had a great time cheering with my friends and ate dinner with Savanna after. Later this day I will go to my friend Savanna's house and get ready! Homecoming is at 8 & I am so excited.
Hi again! This week have been so short and fast. I went to school for only 2 days this week. I had my golf tournament on Thursday and it went pretty okay. The course we played on is called Forrest Creek. It's a very hard course, due to all the water hazards and the trees. It was so exhausted on the tournament, since it took 6 hours for us to finish. The guys on our team started laughing when they found out that it took so long time for us. A funny thing about the tournament is that there was a Swedish Girl on the tournament called Klara as me. We met each other after the tournament and she was so nice. It was so funny because we had a LOT of things in common, for instance mutual friends and she lives where I used to live in Sweden. Friday went very fast and I spend my Friday with my host family.
Next weekend is going to be so fun, because it's homecoming week!! Our homecoming game is on Friday. However, I am a little bit stressed because I need to find a dress and shoes. I thought you were supposed to wear a long dress, but here in Texas you have a really tight short dress to homecoming.
Now, I need to study for next week!
This week have been so great, from Sunday to Monday I was on a sleepover at my friend Beth's house with Tanna, Erin and two other girls. Last night I didn't sleep so much of course, so I am really happy that we didn't have school today. Btw, It's Columbus Day today, that's why we didn't have school. The sleepovers here are much more organized than ours, for instance Beth's mom was so sweet and brought appetizers to us and made the food. Thank you Beth!, if you see this <3. Furthermore, we had a great time making our mums for homecoming, it took a lot of time and we all burned our selves on the hot glue gun several times. All mums turned out great, it was so fun, however I am kind of relieved that I don't need to do one next year, because it was more difficult than I thought. After we finished our mums, we kept dancing and laughing. So many fun things happen, both Tanna and me fell over our chairs as we laughed too hard.
This week will overall be a short week, due to the golf tournament on Thursday and the "Shooting Rumor", So I will only go to school tomorrow and Friday.
Hope y'all had a great weekend and will have a good week!

Hi! Now I been here for about 48 days as the caption says. This have been a Big Adventure & I am so grateful for getting the opportunity do this. Thank you mum & dad!! A really believe that my exchange year will bring so much good to my life.
When you are away from your family, you will notice how spoiled you were & I think that will have a really good effect on you. That will result in that you truly treasure your parents when you are home.
My time here have been so awsome, it's interesting to learn about a different culture and to learn to adapt. In Austin where I live it's very hot and humid, for instance it was over 30 degrees when I came. Now I am so used to that that I think 20 degrees is cold. Crazy! Furthermore, many things are different here. Here, you call your teachers by their last name and if you don't do that they consider you rude and will not answer. In US they also have toilett passes, which means that you need to ask for permission to go to the toilett and you need to get a pass from your teacher saying what time you are leaving and their signature. One time, I forgot to ask for permission and I just went outside and my teacher got really mad and wouldn't stamp my homework, ups! I think that toilett passes are a good idea because then you can't go around somewhere in school and go and buy something in the cafeteria as many people do in Sweden. I also disagree with having toilett passes, because at the same time I think it's ridicoulous to ask for permission to go to the bathroom. In addition to this another difference is that you have advocate, a time in the middle of your classes when you get the time to do your homeworks. That's a really smart idea, as you can get help in school by your teachers instead of trying to do them all alone. Besides this many more things are different, but I will spare that to another time.
