Happy Friday guys!

I didn't sleep very well last night, I woke up many times just having my usual back pains. So today I will go for a massage at my favorite Spa spot Serenity Spa NoMad (49 W 27th Street, btw 6 Ave/Broadway) I go here for mani/pedi and more so often massages. This place is not as expensive as many spa places, but I do think they have good standard and very nice staff that know customer service for sure and it's a cozy spot where its quiet and not aloud to talk on your phone! Love it!

I've had a good morning so far, I started out making my fav smoothie that helps me last until lunchtime:

1 Avocado

1,5 dl Soy milk

1 spoon of Organic Frozen Berries (raspberry or strawberry makes best taste)

1 tsk Shia Seeds

1 hand Fresh Organic Spinach

1 spoon Organic Honey

In the mixer until it gets thicker, you can tell when its done. Super fresh and perfect 30 min before heading to the gym!

Tonight I'm going for dinner at for me a new place Mercer Kitchen (99 Prince St, btw Greene St/Mercer in Soho) It's an American traditional kitchen, so I'm exited to try it out! After dinner we're going to The Blonde (11 Howard St, btw Crosby St/Lafayette in Soho) this lounge place is the new hot spot in the city, its hard to get in, very strict door policy so be aware and bring your A game. The cocktails are great and the crowd is electric and hip. On the more expensive side on drinks and food but I would say it's worth it!

Hopefully you will have as fabulous weekend as I'm planning to have!

Yes, its as good as everyone says and thinks. This place is always on everyones list coming to NYC, I almost always recommend it, but its a bit hard to get a table and you need to make a reservation a long time in advance!

I love their corn on the cub with cheese! The margaritas are great you need to at least drink one, also it can happen that some tequila shots are coming from nowhere so be prepared :)

I never stayed after dinner just to hang out having drinks, but yesterday the dj played great music and so we stayed. We are so happy that Nico are here in the city again, but today there leaving for Costa Rica surf so I will be solo for a week,,, I'm guessing that its gonna be a lot of wine and a lot of girls nights when the boys are gone, but I'm not complaining,

I need to renew my real estate license this week, and I have to book my trip home. Im thinking of leaving next week and stay til after New Years. I miss my family and friends so I think I want to spend some extra time back home.

Tonight I'm going to dinner at L'amico

hopefully I can get some work done before that, I'm a bit tired today to say the least...

Have a great day!

Enrique Olvera pioneered the new Mexican gastronomy movement at his restaurant Pujol in Mexico City, influencing a generation of young chefs in the process. The opening of Cosme in 2014 introduced New Yorkers to his contemporary cooking, which is anchored in Mexican traditions, for the first time and has been a runaway success.

I was super excited to come here cause I heard a lot about this restaurant, and its history from Mexico City, also it has been a bit hard to get a table here witch always a good sign.

It is a quite dark environment, the tables where a bit to close to the neighbors table, it almost felt like we where at a dinner with ten other peeps. Not an ideal place for a date night!

They don't have that big o f a menu, but a lot of nice dishes. They do recommend. for 2 people to take 4-6 dishes together, but 4 is more than enough. ( and we came here very hungry)

I had the Uni Tostada, Avocado, Bone marrow salsa, Cucumber, The Octopus-Scallop Cocktail they where amazing, also we tried the Black bean Chorizo, and the Short ribs, Cipollini, Avocado, I was a bit disappointed by those dishes, It was to much different flavors and the Short ribs where a bit dry. If you pay $35 for a dish of two pieces of ribs you except it to be delicious! I do regret not trying the Duck cause it's one of their signatures. Well, I heard the lunch here is great and sometimes it can really be so different levels from lunch to dinner so I will give this place one more try for a lunch next time!

Cosme 35 E 21 Street (btw Broadway and Park Ave)

After dinner we took a walk home, it's still not to cold here yet, so walking the food off was a great idea. When we got home I got a gift, I love presents, and it's not even my birthday. He bought me a feather skirt that I've been talking about from Club Monaco and it's so gorgeous! Thank you my love. So, sometimes you do listen to me :)

Today Nico is coming and we will go to La Esquina for dinner, apparently it is Mexican week but I do love it!

We all need girls nights sometimes or just girls time! I am so fortunate to have met the most amazing girls here in the city. I think a lot of you can relate when I say its hard to find genuine, nice, down to earth kind of girlfriends here in the city. You can easily feel lonely here. I know in this big city? Yes, its true. I remember when I first moved over here almost 3 years ago. It was a weird feeling, no longer have that safety net of your friends that you are used to have around you. Also the feeling of having to meet new people, and make new friend when you are a grown up like that.

So now, I'm very lucky that I have my dear friends Matilde and Hanna by my side, amazing genuine, smart beautiful people inside, out!

This weekend we had drinks at Hanna's place in Chelsea. Amazing apartment, cozy, I love the brick walls and typical NY feeling apartment. She made us super nice drinks, with: Guava juice, Fresh Strawberries, Kiwi, Bacardi and top with Prosecco. Perfect welcoming drink, fresh and light!

After drinks at Hanna's we had dinner at our favorite spot Zio Ristorante (17 W 19th Street btw 5/6 Avenue) the absolute best Italian restaurant in the city! I highly recommend this place. Very chill chic place, $$$ perfect to sit in the bar for drinks or grab a table for dinner with your date or friend and family. We go here all the time and get some special treats sometimes, they make the best salmon, creme cheese ciabattas for us, it is amazing and I have cravings for this most of the time! :D

After some more drinks we headed out in the New York nights, ending up at 1oak (453 W 17th Street, btw 9/10 Ave) in my opinion the only decent night club in NYC. It was a great night!! Thanks girl <3

Tonight I'm going to check out Cosme with my love, heard good thing so let's see what they have to offer..

Tomorrow our dear friend Nico is coming to the city, looking forward!

My Thanksgiving dinner was successful! It might have been a few fire alarms setting off but my building is still here so no harm done. I love setting tables and decorating for events and dinners, as the perfectionist that I am, it need to look fab! Im annoyed cause I did not have time to take photos when it was all set before my guest arrived, but I got one while prepping.

My apple pies turned out good, with some ice cream on the side always helps! The turkey tasted amazing, my man did a great job there :) A lot of wine and whiskey is always a good idea!

Macy's Parade on 6 Ave

Today is Black Friday and people are crazy for real. To stand outside Macy's 4am in the morning just to get in when they open at 5am, that is dedication. I wouldn't do that for anything, or sorry I lied, for Chanel I do anything! I do love shopping, but I just do it online, from my warm and cosy bed instead. :)

Now its time for me to look at some new furniture and interior inspirations, with a hot cup of tea under my blanket what better way to kick off this weekend..

Happy thanksgiving guys

It is funny how we have those special holidays to be extra thankful, and loving. I do think we should be extra, extra loving and thankful and nice to one and other everyday, but I also appreciate those holidays its cosy and you get a free pass for eating a lot of good food :)

In Sweden we don't celebrate Thanksgiving holidays so Im not that into this tradition as all americans, but since I lived here now for 3 years now we always end up being invited to a Thanksgiving dinner and I do enjoy it.

This year we are having a Thanksgiving dinner at our place for once. For me it is a very brown, yellow, orange and mellow kind of setting, not so colorful, so I will try to blend it with my style. We bough a Turkey, its big, floppy and I'm scared of it...for real! Im not going anywhere near it, so Im in charge of the Apple pie and the ice cream, I mean what can go wrong here?! (lets see tomorrow)

My love always knows how to make me smile... this time with one of my favorites.

Thankful for being exactly where Im meant to be.

I had a great weekend, that I still have to "pay" for but it was worth it! So now I'm home on my couch feeling sick with a fever, cause of this up and down weather! I had a couple of friends over from Sweden and its always intense and crazy fun of course!

One of my favorite places to go for dinner and drinks is Beauty&Essex in Lower east side. It is a perfect spot to go to before going out or just want that New York vibe with a gorgeous crowd! You enter through a jewelry/music shop and there is a door that takes you to the reception area, it is a bit hard to get a table so for sure make reservations in advance. Walking in its every interior design lovers dream, beautiful and too well done, in the smallest details, witch I love love love!

I like to sit upstairs, not as loud as downstairs and its more exclusive feeling. I would never come here to underdressed, this is not a sneakers place, and its more on the pricer side $$$$ but so worth it. And I love the small plates, sharing thing going on! I would def go here for a date or a romantic night out with your hubby!

Of course we took a pit stop at The Standard Grill bar (848 Washington St btw 12th/13th street, Meatpacking) and grabbed some Penny drops and Moscow Mules their signatures drinks! And of course went downstair and took some Photo Booth pics for my walk in closet wall! Lets not talk more about those pics......

The best way to finish off a good weekend is to go to Employees Only (510 Hudson St btw 10th& Christopher St, West Village) a great bar for drinks (a weekday when not so crowded) or especially for a Sunday cocktail! The food is great to if you want to grab a bite in between drinks.. The atmosphere here is great, a mix of people and sometimes they do a 5 minute show, almost every time it has been a half naked girl dancing on the bar! FUN!

It has been so crazy the past couple of days! But now I'm back on track!

Finally Friday again and I took Isabel to my fave Latin-American restaurant for dinner. It is amazing, they have the best Guacamole in the city for sure! Its tapas style, and my true favorite dishes are the Crispy Fish tacos, Mescal cured Salmon, with cucumber yoghurt relish and golden potato flakes, and the Cheese fondue is to die...

The food is super fresh a lot of gluten free dishes, its a bit on the pricer side $$$ but so worth it I go here for brunch or dinner. You can for sure wear sneakers with a casual chic outfit here, even though it is a more upscale restaurant. The interior is fabulous, rustic/Industrial contemporary style, specific details that I love.

Inside the ABC Cocina you have the ABC Kitchen that are known for their fabulous meet. I haven't tried it yes cause its hard to get a table in a decent time, but I will try it for sure one day soon! Also inside is the amazing ABC carpet and home interior design store. They have everything you can imagine and more, its very expensive here but they have good quality so if you do buy something you know its will last and so its worth it.

ABC Cocina 38 E 19th Street (btw Broadway and Park ave) Flatiron

The BOX. 189 Chrystie Street (btw Delancey & Irvington Street Lower East Side

Me and my partner in crime <3

The BOX.

If you been, you know there is nothing you can really say to explain Box, The atmosphere and the performances, almost always very vulgar, sexy and extreme. I do love it. Its hard to get in but if you are more girls than guys it usually is not a problem, also dress up for this place, they really can deny you to get in based on your outfit! Guys should be prepared to pay entrance, and its expensive drinks in the bar, so if you are a crew its better to have a table in the end. The best view is from upstairs, and where its most fun of course.

If you haven't been here you should go def experience it once, but you go here with an open mind...

I woke up to a gray and rainy day and I was sooo tired. My dear friend Isabel arrived yesterday and we ended up drinking a few glasses of wine catching up and of course it got a bit late... it was worth it though :)

I looked through my summer pics today and I start thinking back on my summer and how amazing it was. Im not looking forward to the winter and the cold so it feels better reminiscing back to my summer adventures sometimes..

Today we are checking out Necessary Clothing, a store that my friends been talking about that I have to go see for my self. Ive seen a lot of the clothes, shoes and accessories online and they seem to have a lot of nice thing so I'm looking forward going there, maby do some damage in my wallet...

I personally think there is not so many fun stores to go shopping here in Manhattan, I know this is New York right...

But I mean outfits that are sticking out, more a casual chic or a rocky outfit, and not everyone has them. I do love Patricia Field, the designer from SATC store, you should def check that out when in the city!

Im waiting for it to stop raining and then we will check Necessary C out an see if its as amazing as everyone says...

One thing that I really get so excited about is books. I love going to Barnes&Nobles, just walking around reading, smelling the books (yes its a bit weird) and I usually end up buying a few of them. I like to read biographies, of inspiring people and their lives, and also detective romans.

I used to read books all the time before, 2 books a week, but nowadays I hardly read one book a month, cause I feel I never have the time, energy or focus to sit, relax and concentrate my mind into the book. I really want to go back to reading more its so interesting, mind resting and I love the feeling of just holding the book in my hands.

Almost all books can be table books, this will be my perfect christmas present for someone special that I know really wants a few for here livingroom table :)

This weekend I went to Club Monaco 5th Avenue (160 5th Ave, btw 21/22 Street Flatiron) and I ran into this amazing little library in the store, I never seen it before and I fell in love with it.

When I will decor my guest room in my new apartment I want a mini library, who would not want to have that in their home?! :D

Tune in on whats happening on my guestroom decoration project... its def in progress of some sort...

I don't love the winter, I'm more of a summer/spring girl, but I do appreciate those cozy warm knitted sweaters, and with a cup of tea, my computer, a blanket in my couch there is nothing more relaxing.

Hope you have a great evening in your fave cosy sweater,

Love
