I woke up this morning feeling great! The weather was nice and hot; pretty typical for California. I took my doggo out for a walk/jog. Aside from him slowing down since he's so out of shape (as am I), I think he really enjoyed it. After we had our time together I was craving a smoothie. Although I didn't have much in my fridge, I had to make do with what I already had which were these three ingredients listed in the photograph.

Since I didn't have my source of fresh vegetables, I opted for Global Greens by MRM. This is a powder that you can incorporate into your water, juice, or smoothies. This antioxidant powder provides you with over 70 greens, superfoods, adaptogens, enzymes, and probiotics. DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A NUTRITIONIST. I AM JUST COPYING THIS OFF THE CONTAINER. PLEASE LOOK INTO FURTHER FOR YOURSELF BEFORE PURCHASING. I AM NOT SPONSORED BY THIS COMPANY. (You guys will probably wonder what that powder is so I need to explain in detail.)

1 & 1/2 cup of frozen mixed berries
2 cups of coconut water
1 scoop of Global Greens by MRM.

(I eyeballed)

It turned out really good! Now of course you can change it up however you'd like but again, I didn't have much in my fridge so this is what I had to work with!

A new year will be here after tomorrow and for some by the time you come across this, it will already be 2017. With every new year comes resolutions and to those people who want to improve their lifestyles, make goals to accomplish throughout the year. I have made a few goals of my own that I am determined to learn from and achieve. One of them is minimizing my lifestyle. I came across minimalism through Katrin Berndt, a youtuber. I was so drawn to the idea, that I wanted to start learning and start doing for myself. I've watched and rewatched videos on youtube and I have skimmed on Pinterest to get tips on how to minimize. Minimizing isn't just about donating the clothes that you no longer wear. Its also about purchasing what you NEED rather than what you WANT. The "saving money" aspect comes into play. Minimizing is more complex but yet it is so so simple once you get into it. This book that was given to me by my brother's fiancée, talks about how to "live with less and end up with more." Each chapter in the book talks about each step on how to minimize and helps you create a lovely space in your home. If you have a lot of stuff that hasn't been touched in years and you just want some weight lifted off your shoulders, I definitely recommend you going this route. You'll be a happier person if you do!

Be safe for the New Year and have an adventurous, fun, and exciting year that is ahead.

Through the strong wind and the refreshing rain, I finally made it to my brother and his fiancée's house. My stay here will consist of a few days but I wish it was FOREVER! A dark christmas is definitely here at the Hottinger's house.
