Daily Thoughts

​One of the things I want to focus on this summer is becoming more natural. I really want to begin eating home grown fruits and veggies. I am also really bad at eating the healthiest as my days are super crammed all the time with work and school. My goal is to eat healthier and more natural. 
I was thinking about starting a garden but I am a new-be with what to do and where to begin. I don't want to use any chemicals during the process either!!
Can someone help me out and share some advice on how to get started? what are some of the easier things to grow?

Daily Thoughts

​I question every single day why some girls feel the need to put others down. It breaks my heart hearing one girl say hurtful things towards another. I often hear these hateful comments being thrown around and decide not to intervene because I don't want to "get involved". Today, while at work, I expereinced a co-worker being hateful towards another girl with another co-worker. It was awful the comments that were being made; she looks so fat, I can't believe she would wear that. Today I also decided this would be the time to start standing up and not accepting these hateful words to be used around me; whether it's about me as an individual or someone else.

I made the decision to step into the conversation and say the conversation they were having was very mean and would hurt anyone. If girls were nice and empowered each other instead of constantly bringing each other down this world would be a completely different place. Wouldn't you love to just wear the outfit that makes you feel confident without the fear of someone making hateful comments? Just to be yourself and be happy with it because no one is judging you? Not to fear about your weight or your appearance, your style as you continue working on loving yourself even more? To just be the true you? I want to live in a world like that.

Today I made the first step to the journey of love, peace and empowerment.

Travel, Daily Thoughts , Inspirations

​Hey guys!!

I just returned home from the Dominican :) It was a blast! The beach was amazing, it was sunny everyday, I got to spend time with the love of my life and best of all I got to play with MONKEYS! 
​Not only did I get the chance to get away from school and relax, I was also able to reflect on things. 

The first few days of my trip I was feeling a bit down as I was indulging and was away from my daily routine of exercise, yoga and healthy eating. It took a few days for me to recognize that in life, balance needs balance. At home I work so hard on taking care of my health through exercise, yoga and nutrition and letting that all go was very difficult for me. But.. indulging in food, drinks and good times was what I needed. Letting go of all the balance I have trained myself to do back at home, stepping out of my normal and just having a good time without feeling bad for it was well deserved and needed. It has led me to become more productive as I return home.

So the lesson I have learned that finding balance is key, but even at times it's okay to break from that. To over do something and indulge, treat yourself and go wild!!

Travel, Daily Thoughts
Dominican Republic :D

So finally after working two jobs and taking a 125% course load in school, I am going to get a chance to RELAX :) Dominican trip is booked and I leave FRIDAY!!
I can't even begin to explain the excitement I feel to just relax on a beach in the sun.

I've never been to the Dominican before so I have no idea what to expect.
Has anyone ever traveled there before? Is there any shots I would need to travel there?

Daily Thoughts

​These next two weeks are very intense with school. I am currently an RPN continuing education to get my RN to be a nurse. I am currently working on a 100+ page paper, midterms coming up; one being tomorrow morning!
Unfortunately I work with children and I've ended up quite sick. I've got a fever, aches, chills, sore throat and a pounding head ache!!

I've taken extra strength tylenol but it has not given me the energy to get studying for this exam :( 
Does anyone know of any home remedies to get rid of being sick super quick? I want to try a natural approach, I'm tired of medicating myself!! help me boost my immunity and find the strength to study!

How ironic is it that the nurse is asking you for help on being sick? ahaha

Daily Thoughts
Work Hard, Play Harder

​Today was such a busy day for me. Worked a 13 hour day between my two jobs, played my dodgeball game and now off to complete an essay that is due! It's safe to say I am quite exhausted and hoping to get enough rest to get through my shift tomorrow. I absolutely love pushing myself to my limits, it's how I grow personally. But I cannot forget the importance of self-care and self-love. By not providing my body with proper rest, nutrition and balance ​I am setting myself up for mental break downs, failure and overall burnout leading to exhaustion. How can I expect my body to work this hard for me if I don't give it the care it needs? I work hard so I can pay for my trips and so I can truly enjoy the time away when I travel, I feel like I deserve it & I worked hard to earn it the experiences. 

So, I am going to complete this essay and have a hot bubble bath and it is off to bed for me!!

How many hours of sleep do you guys get a night?

Treating my body with the love and respect it deserves has been my approach to feeling the best that I can. I find my soul and discover who I am through traveling the world and exploring places I didn't even know existed. Eating nutritious and exercising everyday gives my body the strength and energy it needs to get even a fraction closer to my dreams. I am a nurse, a traveller, a yogi, a fitness addict who craves adrenaline & adventure. I want that kick in the butt that I need on those down days to get back up and keep smiling. Because life is not so bad when you take a light hearted, carefree approach : ) . 

I want to inspire others to be the best they can be, to follow their hearts, and fall in love with health & wellness.
