The Santa Barbara closes their ticket sale at 4pm, and we got there at 3:57pm. Thank God. The Zoo actually closes at 5pm so we only had an hour to walk through the zoo. Thankfully it was not a big zoo so an hour was plenty of time to just walk through. I would recommend you to at least have 1,5 or 2 hours if you want to take it a bit slower. It wasn't crowded at all but many animals was just resting so if you want to see them be more active, you should go earlier. It was $17 per adult, but it was a fun thing to do! I love animals and the zoo is supposed to have rescue animals there or animals that can't be let out in the wild. Hopefully that's the case because I don't like the idea of capturing animals in cages for the pleasure of the man.

We wen't to the zoo this Wednesday, and today is my sisters last day in Santa Barbara. Tomorrow we are headed down to LA and on Sunday she'll go back home to Sweden!

Thirsty Thursday and I had some water while my sister had a Corona. We spent the lunch hours at the beach, ate some food, and just enjoyed her last (or second to last) day in Santa Barbara.

My day started with a midterm, that I did not know I had.. Apparently I missed the one day that that our Coach told us about the midterm and gave us paper to study for it.. Good job Felicia! At least it was in Integrated Fitness, so it was quite easy. After that class, I had another exam. This time in Athletic Injuries. It was quite easy as well, since we did taping and wrapping.

Both me and Cornelia is going to write about our classes and our teachers here on the blog if there are any future or current SBCC students reading and thinking of taking any of these classes!

Now I need to go to my stretching and relaxation class, hopefully it won't be too dull!

This Monday morning, we woke up at 5:45 and went out the door by 6:15 to go on a sunrise hike. It was foggier than last time, but that made a hell of a cool view. Now it's 9:25 and time for school. Have a great day people!

My sister and I woke up around 9 and then we went to La Playa Stadium for a workout. We ran up the stair five times and then did a whole body workout in a circuit. A quick breakfast after that and then we went to the beach we're we are now. After this, we'll go to State Street and look what the stores have to offer. Have a nice day y'all!

Cali life, The Way To College

When Cornelia and I was first looking at places to live, our choices was between living in Isla Vista, La Brezza or Beach City. In the end, we chose Beach City Apartments. It is 5 minutes from SBCC, close to the ocean and the beach, a 20 min walk or 5 min drive to downtown, and a big apartment complex full of students. There is also a pool, the ability to "rent" bikes (for free), as well as some other stuff. Overall it is a pretty nice place to live in.

However.. There is a lot of issues here as well. The rent is really high, (but most places in Santa Barbara is) and you have at least 4 roomies, or in our case 6 roomies. The thing is that when we moved into our apartment, our doors to our bedrooms did not have any doorknobs, and the office simply told us that that wasn't a part of the apartment and if we wanted to have doorknobs then we had to fix it for ourselves. Secondly, there was a cabinet door in the kitchen missing and we it still is now. The office don't tell you about new roomies checking out the place either, so if there is an open spot, a new roomie might just show up at your door and move in hours later. Thirdly, overall it feels like Beach City just want to make as much money as possible and take as much money as they can while at the same time spear all expenses for themselves.

Other people might have different experiences with the life at Beach City, and if the office would have been more helpful it would be a great place to live at. So if you're thinking of moving here, now you have some opinions of a current resident. Also, the lease if for 1 year, so even if you don't stay here during 12 months, that is the only available contract for you. And it is not the easiest lease to get rid of (meaning finding someone new to take it over) if you're only going to stay for one semester.

It is a party place for sure, so if you're a party person then you might really like it here!

If you want to see more pictures of my room, here is a post about that:.

Sunday night over here and I just got back to bed from... the couch, exciting huh? But anyway, I've actually been to the library today to finish up a research paper and some homework that is due in the beginning of next week. I was thinking of starting to do and extra credit assignment right now to make up for some point in my recent tests in a class. That's one of the perks about school here, extra credit. Doing random assignments (not always a piece of cake but mostly do-able) that can up your grade a notch.

Tomorrow is Monday and a new week, that I will spent doing as much homework and such before my sister gets here on Thursday. Weey!!

Man I love LA
Yesterday, Lisa and I went for a lil trip to Santa Monica and ended up at 1oak. It was a hell of a fun night and we stayed over at a friends house and came back to Santa Barbara this morning. The whole reason we went was because Lisa wanted to go to Victoria Secret there and also have a chiropractor session. I had one to and it felt amazing!!
More days like that please, cheers!
