Tips, My kitties, Photography, Still Life

I love my DSLR camera, I really do! But there are some things, that it just can't do. For example? Give me the pictures I take straight away haha. The instantaneity of the instax is one of the reasons I love it. Within a minute, the picture I took is emerged on a piece of photo paper. I really enjoy the surprise as well- sometimes I mess up the picture completely and sometimes it comes out and looks perfect. Either way, it is a lot of fun. I have been testing this little fella for a few days now. It has a lot of functions to play around with, allowing you to get many different outcomes. Tad and I took some pictures of Toastie and Minii the first day we got it and they are so cute! The cats were a bit freaked out by it- maybe it was the flash haha. But I need to say, with christmas coming and all that, I can really recommend the instax cameras as christmas gifts. I mean, we all have smartphones with cameras, but since you get the pictures off the Instax straight away, it really is a crowd pleaser! I will definitely bring it along to parties and events with me, because the pictures are completely different than what you have off a normal camera. I guess you could call it retro!

Tad and I got an old polaroid camera as well, but it is a lot bigger and it is not possible to set modes on it, so there is less room to manoeuvre.

The INSTAX one that I got is one of the highest performing cameras from instax, so it is possible to set the light, exposure and what not. But for someone who does not know much about how to use these feautures it works just as fine. I am really happy that there is a macro mode, because I can take close-ups. If any of you have questions about this let me know :) maybe I can be of some help!

Life in an apartment with two cats can be challenging at times, but I mean it is so worth it! Most of the time they are sleeping and being insanely cute! I love them! I got a few pictures of them waking up yesterday. Tonight Tad and I are having a few friends over for a small bday celebration and game night! There is a new game called Codenames that I have been dying to play! We had it with us this summer and it was sooooo much fun! Will write more about it later! Have a lovely day everyone 💕

Last week our small cat Minii fell out of the window! Thankfully we live on the first floor, which is only about 5m above the ground, so she was ok, but I was really scared something would be wrong with her so I took her to our vet.

In the past month we noticed that Minii jumps up on our window ( we have the Danish type, one big window in the bottom and a small one on top). With Toastie, we had to watch out not to have any windows open, because he would sit on the edge and he also fell down once when he was a kitten, luckily he fell into a bike basket and was totally ok. And he never tried to jump into the small window on top so we could keep those open. But Minii really likes climbing so jumps on it... We were having a BBQ some time ago and suddenly we saw Minii on the window outside holding on to it. We freaked out and I ran up to save her but she very skilfully jumped down into the room... However last week, she got closed in the kitchen, which is now the only place we leave the window open during the night. And since she was there for a few hours during the evening she tried to climb on the window and probably fell. We found her in the courtyard in the morning hiding behind a bicycle.

I expected to get to the vet and her thinking I am a total idiot, who doesn't watch her cat and lets her fall our of a windows, but she said that it happens really often. Also that we were lucky, because usually when a cat falls from a "small" hight like what happened now the cat will fall on her mounth and usually break her jaw- so we were really really lucky! We got some painkillers for her and now she is totally ok.

IF YOU HAVE A CAT IN AN APARTMENT: There are a lot of things you can do, to prevent your cat from falling. It is possible to buy windows with a strong net so you can have the windows totally open during the summer. Also there are safety stoppers, that will keep the window open, only so much that the cat can't get out. I think we will go for the net solution, because it is nice to have fresh air in the apartment. Either way, it is best to try to prevent anything from happening- I honestly didn't think that Minii would do this, but now I know better..

I enjoyed a lazy weekend with my cats! After a really hectic month I had some down time, and could really relax! Usually when I am home my cats sleep with me on the bed. Minii loves being pet and she always lays down in front of me and wants me to pet her tummy haha. Tomorrow will be a big return to reality, starting with meetings in the morning I will be working on my bachelor project and school stuff. On Friday Rose had a really nice party with a bunch of delicious and artistic food so I have a bunch of cool pictures from that, which I will share soon! But for now I am hibernation mode :D. Have a nice Sunday guys! Hopefully it was as lazy as mine.

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's day- single or not haha. I spent the day with Tad, first we went to Copenhagen Street Food, where I was taking pictures for Mad En Italy- which is an amaaazing pizza place! They just recently went all vegetarian and Eva, who is the awesome person behind it just goes all crazy with cool ideas for pizza toppings! Honestly you have to try it! However we wanted to have something else to eat atm at Street Food so we got the pizza packed- so yes, now I have a supply for pizza for a few days. It was a really nice day! We watched Ice age 2 and went to bed early, because I had school and Tad had to go to work. And of course Minii was cuter than ever! Have a nice Monday!
