Copenhagen, Food and Coffee

Lazy Thursday and I am thinking of drinking matcha with my brother! The Matcha Bar is becoming a favourite place of mine! I am so lucky it is right by my apartment haha. Today I will be going for dinner to Illum to The Corallo Lobster Bar to take some pictures for Mad About Copenhagen. It feels a little strange being done with classes! It went by so fast this semester. Can't wait for summer now! The weather is looking a lot better these past few days, and there is a lot more light in Copenhagen! It feels so nice finally being able to walk without having a huge scarf!

Copenhagen

Today is my brother's last day in Copenhagen. He was visiting me for two weeks in his easter break at school. It was really nice having him here! Yesterday we finally had a day that we could spend together in the city ( before I had exams and then during easter everything was closed). We went to the matcha bar, walked down strøget to nyhavn, where we had a little break at the Union Kitchen ( with truffle fries- I love truffle fries!!) and then we went to Torvehallerne to meet Bee. The day started out with really nice weather but then it got really cold and super windy so we were totally frozen when we got home. Anyway, Jan is leaving tonight so I am really sad! But I am sure he will come visit me in the summer so it's ok! So have a lovely day everyone! I am off to wake my baby brother up haha.

Countryside

On Saturday Bee, her boyfriend Michal, my brother Jan, Tad and his friend Michal and I went for a trip to Klampenborg, which is a park or "Dyrhaven" which translates to "the deer park" a little up North from Copenhagen. The weather was so nice that day so we wanted to take pictures of some deer and then go and chill on the beach, which proved not to be the best idea, since there was so much wind we stayed at the beach for only an hour maybe and then all frozen went to mine and Tad's and watched the new Star Wars movie, which was really disappointing. But we got some pictures of the deer- I, unfortunately, only had my 18-55mm lense, so I couldn't get very close, but Bee had a 18-200mm so her pics are amazing!

Food and Coffee, Copenhagen

On Tursday we had an amazing easter lunch at Kronborg, which is a Danish restaurant in the Copenhagen city centre.Bee, Terese, Christina and I met up around 2 and we left around 5:30, so we were eating for 3 hours haha! The food was so good but there was so much of it! I was saying I think that these types of things are for old danish men, who can eat so much! Not girls haha! Next time I go I will deffinitelly eat a lot less than I did this time- even though it will be hard because the food is just so so so good! Walther, who is the owner was so kind to explain the whole concept of easter lunch to me and Bee, as we haven't experienced one before this. He also introduced us the drink Aquavit, a snaps, that is insanely stong- and we tried like 10 different flavors so we were pretty drunk by the end of it! The menu was as follows: 4 fish courses ( herring with ramson cream, salmon cured with herbs and lime, pan friend filet of flat fish, freshly boiled cor roe with shrimp) 3 meat dishes ( roast beef of lamb, roast pork with red cabbage, tartelette with chicken and asparagus) and it ended up with a cheese plate- so good! It was such a nice experience and I am so happy we tried this- even though Bee is vegetarian so she couldn't eat everything. I can really recommend this!

Home/ Decor

Our room is done! At least for now! We will be getting a new bed and chair, but that will not be until the summer. I am so excited, I have been waiting for this for half a year I guess. We got rid of 4 kommodes and 2 closets and got one really really big closet that fits everything! I love the room now, there is so much more space and also I have a reading and work table so it is easier to work and study now. We are waiting for our chair until next month, because we got it customised at BoConcept, I wrote about it HERE . I have been living in Copenhagen for nearly 3 years now and when I moved here it was the first time that I lived alone so I didn't really know what I was doing when I got all the furniture. During the past 3 years I realised what type of stuff I want in the apartment and I am so happy with the result now. Soon Bee and I will make a diy table for the living room and then we will be done! So excited! Hope you guys like it!
