My modest order from the Mac x Mariah Carey line came and I couldn't be more excited! Mac is, and always will be, my ride or die lipstick brand. I adore a lot of their products but I think it's safe to say that a majority of my collection is from Mac. I've not loved a packaging lately from their L.E. lines, that last ones I loved seem so far away.

But this? Mac has outdone themselves. Isn't it dreamy? It helps that the colours are simply beautiful, too. Not only is the Mac formula at its prime once more, the colour range is an old school kind of glamorous.

The all silver glitter packaging is positively breathtaking and I'm probably going to be swooning over it these next few weeks.

Even the box it came in is perfect! It's so fitting that it is for Mariah freakin' Carey's line that Mac gets its shit back in the game. After so many lackluster misses, we're back in swoon mode.

The colour I purchased is "Dahhlinggg" and it's the perfect nude. I'm obsessed.

2016 was full of great literature. One of my favourites? The futuristic Gossip-Girl-esque release from Katharine McGee. The Thousandth Floor was deliciously indulgent and full of mystery and intrigue. I, for one, am beyond pumped for its sequel. Is this series the new Gossip Girl? I'll be the first to admit that I'll always have a soft spot for my beloved GG: Cecily von Ziegesar's tales of glamour and scandal--it's the first book series I was obsessed with.

Nothing can replace it. But McGee's The Thousandth Floor is a rightful heir to that throne and will leave you wanting more. Smart and seductive, this series will be your next guilty pleasure.

2016 has been a killer year when it comes down to literature and its stunning cover art. Sure, you should never judge a book by its cover--but who can resist the pull of such beautiful things?

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee is one of many devestatingly gorgeous books released this year. Praised as the perfect read for fans of Gossip Girl, the story takes place in a very different New York City. But the more things change, the more they stay the same.

I have yet to read Wink Poppy Midnight--but look at this little guy! Are you drooling yet?
