Ok, there's nothing wrong with having too many running shoes if you're a gym-goer, a runner or an athlete. Haha. To me, when it comes to shoe shopping, I would walk in to a Nike store and buy myself a nice pair of running shoes. I do go to work and dress casually, sometimes a bit dressy and I would wear a pair ballet flats or riding boots (in the cold seasons). Other than that, I could just wear running shoes all day, just not at work... because I'm not allowed.

So here's a brand new pair of shoes from Nike that I purchased over the weekend. It's a Nike Kaishi 2.0. I was supposed to get the Roshe, however, they didn't have the colour I wanted, which was either the white or white and grey. They only had the orange colour in their store, but I wasn't too upset about not finding the colours I wanted. Later then, when I saw the Kaishi, I thought "Why not!" They look similar to the Roshe and they actually have it in white!

In the end, I tried them on, I loved everything about it! The fit is amazing, the style looks amazing and the COLOUR is just perfect! Some of you are probably wondering, why would I get white running shoes? Well, I am not that stupid about how white shoes can easily get dirty if you're running in them outside or at the gym. Honestly though, I promised myself that I would keep these babies clean and looking brand new every week! Plus, at least I know what to clean my white shoes with. I've actually been watching videos of Youtubers showing people how they clean their running shoes, especially their white running shoes. I've been wearing these a couple times at the gym now and I just love them!

Hopefully, I can keep reminding myself to clean them every week when they start to look dirty! Haha!

Hope every is having a great week so far!

Today's tip of the day is: Lose the Pound, Not the Diets!

I believe in one simple thing when it comes to nutrition: DIETS DO NOT WORK!
It is as simple as that. Let me explain why I believe this...

You will drop more pounds than diets. Every. Single. Time.
Diets are hard to stick to. They are difficult, tedious, costly, mentally, and physically draining.
Diets take a toll on your body and you will eventually reach a point where you give up and say you'll start
again next week, or even next month. More times than not, next week or next month never comes.

I've tried a few "diets" in the past and I always become super frustrated and quit. When I change every thing I’m eating all at once, it is too difficult to stick to. It is too much change at once and my body goes b a n a n a s.
I go into that splurge craze; finding myself right back at the beginning feeling dissatisfied with my body.
Man, did you forget what a splurge craze is already? Well, Splurge Craze: Mentally losing your mind after
eating clean for too long and pigging out on sweets, treats and a lot of sugar! All of your hard work in the gym
and in the kitchen is simply going to waste. Get out of the mindset that “dieting” is the only way to lose weight,
get fit, and live a healthy lifestyle. Diets can be harmful to your body and they rarely, if ever, work.

It’s time for a new frame of mind: Your fitness goals are achieved through a healthy lifestyle and not through a diet.
Let me repeat... This is not a diet, this is a healthy lifestyle. Diets are temporary. If you want to shed pounds,
tighten up or even bulk up… you need realize what you are doing is a way of life.
When people diet, they believe that once the diet is finished, they can go back to eating, drinking and snacking on whatever they want.

Well surprise! That is when all of the weight you lost is gained right back; when all of your hard work in the kitchen and in the gym goes straight down the drain. A healthy lifestyle is not something temporary. This is a way for you to live. It is making the conscious decision daily to eat better and live better.

So there's the tip for you guys! Keep in mind! ✌🏻😘

PINK SMOOTHIE BOWL

Recipe type: breakfast, dessert

Prep time: 10 mins

Total time: 10 mins

Serves: 2

A simple, nutrient dense smoothie bowl made with pink fruits including strawberries, dragon fruit/pitaya, frozen fruit, and topped with whole foods.

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup almond milk

• 2 frozen bananas

• 2 cups of granola

• 1 cup frozen strawberries

• Juice of 1 lemon

• 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder

• Garnish options: dragon fruit, coconut flakes, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Using a high speed blender, combine all ingredients until smooth. Add additional ice or water to either thicken or thin depending on your desired texture.

NOTES

Add another ½ cup of almond milk for extra thickness of your smoothie. If using optional protein powder, add ¼ cup almond milk in addition until it gets creamy!

So I'm a big fan of smoothies... you name it all, I love them!! Coming up with a smoothie bowl was a new thing for me. I actually had no idea how to make the first time until then I realize that it's basically a smoothie that you drink from a cup, but it's in a bowl instead and you can add whatever you want in your smoothie bowl. So... I do love granolas in my yogurt so I added granola into my smoothie bowl and it taste AMAZING!

If you haven't tried smoothie bowls, do it! You're going to love it!

xoxo, Quynh

Ok, let's talk about burning body fat. You want to burn all of those fat? I got you!

So you name it:

• Arm Fat
• Back Fat
• Chest Fat
• Stomach Fat
• Leg Fat

Any kind of fat... I got you! This is gonna help you burn that.

I've never been cardio junkie, I would rather do anything else in life than doing cardio. I have a few friends that will run miles and miles. Like what? Hell no. I will not go around the park and run with you because I'm gonna hit the gym instead. We all have our own vibes, cardio
is not my vibe, the gym is my vibe. Now to those of you who love cardio, more props to you, I envy you. I wish I loved cardio. I can get so much accomplished in my fit body goals if I loved cardio.
Sometimes you do have to do cardio and that is why I've been doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).

HIIT is a training technique where you give it your all, you give your 100% through short burst energy. So once you work your ass off on that training, you give it your all and your 100%, you start resting and then you do it again and then you rest. Then your heart rate is like "WHAT the hell are you doing" and your metabolisms are like speeding up and you're endurance is going strong and you're like "WHAAAAT is going on?" HIIT sends your body into a fat burning machine, you're going in a fat-burning overdrive.

HIIT training is so effective as a fat burner because it produces excess post oxygen consumption, a.k.a, the fat burning party is not over when you step off that treadmill. You are going to continue burning calories and fat, hour after hour, after you step off that treadmill, you can burn a huge group of calories in just a shortage amount of time.
So for this HIIT training, I usually like to do it after my workout:

1) Treadmill Sprint
• 15-20 minutes worth Sprinting on the treadmill
• 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off
• 20 times
• Speed: 8.5 and I work my way up to 12 (WARNING: this type of speed is VERY speedy!)

*If this is your first time, start off with the speed of 5 or 5.5, 30 seconds on and 30 second off in 15-20 minutes on the treadmill* If sprinting on the treadmill for 15-20 minutes is too much for you, that's ok! Start your first day sprinting on the treadmill for 5 minutes, the next day 10 minutes and work your way up when you start to feel comfortable*

2) Stairmaster
• 10 minutes worth Normal Speed and Speed Walk
• 30 seconds normal speed walk, 30 seconds high speed walk (Do this 5 times!)
• 1 minute for each different movement: Walking forward, walking side ways (switch to other side for the second time), walking backwards (Repeat this 2 times!)
Skipping steps with normal speed (Do this for one minute!)

3) The Row
•10 minutes
• 1 minute at the Highest resistance and 1 minute at the Medium resistance
Repeat this every other minute for 10 minutes!

Amazing how that keeps your heart rate up, right?

Are you ready for the cardio challenge? Give my favourite fat body burning workout a try!!🔥🔥
