Well, what can I say? I have been absent for a long while and I didn't even tell you that I was disappearing. The truth is that I was trying really hard to settle into sixth form and so I let my blog fall to the back of my mind for a little while until I'd almost but forgotten about it. But, need not worry, I didn't forget (obviously). So, I have recently just gotten off holiday from Zante (when I say recently, at the time of writing this it is currently a week ago today) and my plan was to come back with a big blog post all about my holiday in Zante accompanied with lots of photos. Slight problem, I didn't take my camera and I broke my phone on the second day (oops). As well as this, the wifi was down for about two days which I didn't care about in the slightest because I was having the time of my life and cherishing every moment of my holiday. All in all, I probably spent about thirty minutes on social media in a week and man it felt good. I wasn't constantly walking past things and thinking "Oh, I need to instagram that building" or "Oh, I need to tweet about how sunny it is and how much I don't want to come home". Because, why? What's the need in looking at a screen and allowing everyone else to know about your life when you're not really in it?

Now, I'm probably making myself sound like someone that is addicted to social media but I'm not. I never purposely dress up just to look hot for instagram and I try to be real as possible. But, I have a platform as does everyone else with access to the Internet and I could probably be talking about even realer things that actually matter and are actually important. If you flicked through my camera roll you would see that the majority of my photos are taken on square because that is my instagram theme, most of the photos are carefully adjusted and are all a similar lighting. But, the question lies; what am I missing out on whilst I'm tapping on my screen to focus it and get the angles correct? Sure, a good photo is always nice but how much nicer is a slightly blurred one with dodgy lighting? I know what you're thinking, not nice at all but, it's real life and you have more of a chance of looking back on it and thinking "Oh, I remember not being able to take that photo properly because I was having so much fun in the moment" rather than "That's a nice photo but I don't really remember it all that much". So, I'm going to started looking at things and taking a photo of them, for me, NOT for instagram.

Social media is a huge platform where we allow people to only see what we want them to see yet, we never make the connection that we're only seeing what someone wants us to see, we always think it's just us. I always knew this but Essena Oneill has recently put numerous videos on to her youtube channel lately and has set up a website that is all about this kind of stuff and man, she's going to make a real difference to this society, I can feel it. I will leave links to anything of hers that I think will open your eyes up to the whole topic at the end of this post.

In relation to being real, I want this blog to be real so, I am now going to look through all of my blogposts that I have had planned and see whether they're actually me or not. I was going to do a blogpost on happiness and I still stand by that. I had a blogpost planned to talk about yoga, but I don't even do yoga. I was planning on working at it but still, how can I even plan it as a blogpost without fully doing it? Ooh, a post about how I style shirts, now that's 100% me, my address my as well be "shirts" because they're all I seem to live in. I was going to do a post on how I style levis, I have a pair of levis but they're too big for me which crushes my heart, but I have only worn them once so would it of even been appropriate to tell you how I style them?

I am now going to delete all of my apps for a week and see how I am at the end of it. I'm going to surround myself with everything I love until next Tuesday, nature, writing, music, movies, gossip girl, green tea, books. I'm going to come back to this blog with a whole new round of blog posts planned and they're all going to be 100% real. I will not cover up.

Afternooooon,

If you didn't read that in a proper British accent then pause and rewind and do it all over again, how can you not read it without sounding British? Sorry for missing the Wednesday and Sunday posts but wow, I've been pretty busy. What with starting sixth form and then having to change my whole routine to fit with that, I've not really found much time to do things that I really want to do but now I'm settling into the swing of things and hopefully gaining some sort of balance.

I decided to make a post out of the TOPSHOPS new unique ranges and if you haven't checked it out, let this sneak preview too excited not to check it out. Okay, so the clothes are pretty expensive but a girl can dream right? The clothes are all so luxurious and they have high end catwalk written all over them (not literally, of course). So, I've put two outfits together that I love love love and now you can go ahead and read about them.

My first outfit is pretty simple and I can imagine spending a day walking through the country side in it because it just looks like that's what is was made for. All I'd need is a farmers cap and you'd expect to see me driving a tractor and moving hay barrels. But, of course, this is fashion and it's got nothing to do with farmers, unless you count stealing their style and adding a twist to it to make it unique and irresistible. First is this windemere silk shirt in the colour stone, it just looks so soft and the colour is perfect. I thought it would pair perfectly with this checked wool pinafore dress. I think I'd finish this look off with some wooly socks and some black or burgundy Dr Martens. What do you think?

My second outfit which is also my last and is probably my favourite is this blue metallic cable knit jumper which I love for many reasons including its colour and the turtle neck (it is approaching winter after all). I would tuck it into this cord mini skirt in the colour camel which is absolutely to die for, just look at it and you go all heart eyes emoji. I can imagine this whole look looking uber 70s especially teamed with a pair of knee high boots and walking through the streets of New York - It's just so adorable.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading, I can't wait for a little chit chat on Wednesday. What do you think of the TOPSHOP unique range?

I'm sat out in the September sun wondering how the sun has managed to peak out behind the clouds after a rainy and cold morning. Whatever the reason, thank you dun, I love you. I'm also sat here reminiscing about my prom which was back right at the very beginning of July, so nearly three months have past but I still want to write a post about it and make sure the memory is here as a keep sake.

I began my day with my mum and sister, my mum drove the three of us down to where I was getting my hair, makeup and nails done. It was my first time getting acrylics and the whole thing just felt like the biggest pampering session ever, I loved it. I got my hair done first in an plaited up do and had pearl clips (fake ones, obviously) clipped into my hair, weaving in and out of my plait. I then got my nails done and I had them in a stiletto style with simple golden sparkles decorating them. And then of course, I got my makeup done.

After everything was finished I headed back home to get changed into my dress which I absolutely adored and still thoroughly love. I added all the finishing details, a golden clutch, golden heels and a pearl bracelet and earrings. Can you see my theme yet? At the point I was starting to get pretty nervous.

After taking some pictures my mum drove me to my bestfriends house who looked absolutely amazing, she pulled off her dress so well. Guess what we did? Took even more photos. We then headed to where we were getting our transport from, a Porsche and oh my god, although small, they are soooo nice and classy and luxurious and the list can go on. The three of us has even more photos and we then headed towards the prom which was at a hotel.

Upon arriving at the hotel, the three of us were super nervous to get out of the car but we did and it was fine. It was weird seeing people that I normally saw in uniform all dressed up but everyone looked so nice and different. Even more photos were taken until everyone was told to go inside where we had drinks waiting for us. Sitting at our tables we had a speech to listen to and some other stuff that I can't really remember. Then came our food and to follow was basically a lot of dancing and a really good night. To seal the evening, we had a party at my bestfriends house and that's basically it. The whole day was amazing and I have my mum and dad to thank for everything they did to create it like that.

The sancity of life sounds very spiritual and it is very spiritual. I'm not a religious person but I did do RE as one of my GCSE options and after spending the whole of year ten and most of year eleven behind, I spent months trying to catch up and found a lot of religious ideas to be very interesting and something that even non religious people should incorporate into their lives. The sancity of life is the belief that life is so special and sacred that it's a miracle, and that's really what I want you to realise today because no matter what way you spin it you're here, on this earth, reading this blogpost, alive.

I think we let so many little things get us down and allow ourselves to get bored but when you actually take a step back and take a deep breath in and realise that you're here in this moment, everything either gets really confusing (because like how did we come to exist, craaaaazy) or really peaceful. Take a minute to take off your shoes and go and walk barefoot through sand or grass or concrete, feel how good it feels to be fully connected with the Earth and just breathe. Go and spend some time with your pet and watch them with fascination at how they go about their daily life. Take ten seconds to eat a mouthful of your favourite food and feel all of your senses come to life. Go and tell someone that you love and care about exactly why their so special to you, make their day.

Life is too short to be wasted so make sure you spend every waking moment feeling love and doing what you love. Love yourself through and through because you are your own living miracle and don't you ever forget it.

Last Monday, I started sixth form. Now, I always thought it'd be weird and such a huge shock going to sixth form and being one of the big kids, kids even bigger than scary year elevens and years sixes who were one ginormous to me. The truth is, I don't feel like a big grown up person yet and I think it's because the transition is so gradual (which also stops it from feeling weird). But, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm a sixth former??? Woah, that's crazy.

I decided to go to a sixth form that's away from the town I live in because quite frankly, I needed a change. The town I live in has a college and a sixth form which is part of my old school meaning that most people I know went to either of them places and barley anyone I know at all goes to the sixth form I'm in. At first I felt a bit lonely but I've come to quite enjoy the peacefulness of spending time by myself and I think it's something everybody would do. This week and a half I've really tried to push myself out of my comfort zone and strike up conversation with my class mates aka strangers. So, I've had a lot of conversations with a lot of different people but I still haven't made and proper friends yet which I'm okay with because it's only been a week and a half. Or maybe I'm going to be a loner for two years (haha).

The A levels that I chose are English Literature, Psychology and Media. I really love English Literature and I feel like it's so different to school and it's a lot more interesting. I chose it because I really enjoy reading and writing and it's a requirement on the course I think I want to do at uni. The difference compared to GCSE English Lit is that you really get to know the plays/poetry/novels inside and out making them that much easier to understand and just a whole lot better in general. Psychology I chose because I used to want to be a psychologist and even though I don't want to be one anymore I still find the whole idea of it interesting. There's something about how the brain works and everything to do with our behaviour that I really want to understand because it's all just so amazing to me and so far, psychology is living up to my expectations. I also chose media because it's on the course that I think I want to do and basically just because media is one of the biggest things at the moment and so it made sense to me to want to do it. There are so so so many keywords for it though, I must have nearly a hundred flashcards already.

Instead of doing a fourth A level I'm doing work experience, it's an actual lesson and then I do the work experience and have some more lessons and then it's over and done with for the year which means I have extra free periods and longer lye ins (yaaaay). I don't want to tell you what I'm planning on doing for work experience because I think it would be something that I could do a couple of blogposts about.

So, that's what I've been doing recently; settling into a new routine and trying to get used to it. I'm sure I'll do more sixth form updates over the course of my first year and I'm sure I'll be doing some sixth form related posts when I feel like an actual sixth former (if you know what I mean).

If you're at sixth form/college, what are you taking? If you're not, what are you doing instead? What are you thinking of taking or what did you take?

I only have one red top and I've only worn it once which baffles me because I love it. I found it in the TOPSHOP sale for £12 at the beginning of sums and thought it was one of the cutest tops I've ever seen (which I still stand by). You have to admit that it's cute though, c'mon, you know you want to. It's got the nicest collar I've ever seen on a top and that design reappears half way down the top and at the bottom. Looking at it now actually makes me feel like I'm in love with it (haha, please tell me that I'm not the only one who gets this way about clothes). I will try and wear this top some more and give it the loving it deserves.

Have you got a clothing item in need of some love?

One of the best feelings in the world is setting yourself a goal and then ticking it off because it's no longer a goal as you've completed it. It puts you in such a good mood because you set that goal for yourself and you did it for yourself so, you can just be full of praise for yourself. It doesn't matter how small or big the goal is, it can simply be a to do list for the day or a goal to travel the world because when it's done you feel a sense of relief and happiness.

Goals can be such a positive thing which is why I think that goal setting is so important. It gives you something to work towards and helps you have some sorest of direction. Of course, you could set yourself a goal and it could be never completed because you simply don't want it any more but, if up there's a goal that you want to tick off there is no reason why you shouldn't go full force and try your hardest you achieve it.

Sometimes it's best to have some small goals and some big goals because I find that just having big goals can be a little off putting and can set you off track. However, the most important thing isn't how fast you achieve your goal, it's that you keep pushing forward in the direction of your goal so that you will eventually achieve it. Some small goals can be as simple as attempting to make a different dish for your dinner or getting out of bed and getting changed and some big goals could be moving to a different country or learning a new language. Whatever your goal, I have full faith in you that you can achieve it if you try hard enough to.

Right now I have so many goals and I've already achieved so many this year. Every day I try my hardest to do something that will help me to eventually tick of my goal(s).

My goal for you is to set yourself one small goal and one big goal, leave what they are in the comments. Good luck.

Let's face it, everyone needs a spa day every now and then, they're the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries and just full on relax. Besides, who doesn't love a good pamper? Unfortunately spa days can be pretty expensive meaning people often miss out but you don't have to miss out, you can have a diy pamper day. This post is all about how you can have your very own pamper day on a budget. So, if you're feeling stressed, set aside a day in your calendar for you to have your own pamper day. Make sure you get everything done that you need to do the day before so that you can fully make the most out of it.

1. This isn't necessary but for you to get the most out of your pamper day, I'd say it's important. Switch off your phone and have a social media break. Everyone should have a break from social media every now and then, it's an opportunity to really give your brain some down time instead of overloading it with everything we see online every day. Of course if you can't manage to do a full day then a few hours break would still be really helpful.

2. Run yourself a bath and then fill it with anything and everything that's going to make you feel relaxed, bath bombs (the lush ones, mmm) and definitely bubble bath. A pamper day isn't a pamper day without candles so go ahead and light yourself some candles and place them all over your bathroom. It makes me feel cosy just thinking about it. I always like to put on a face mask when having a pamper day and find it so much easier to do this whilst in the bath so get layering that on your face, your skin will love you for it.

3. I could never have a pamper day and not wash my hair, even if it wasn't my washing hair day, I'd just feel really incomplete (haha). So once your face mask is on, go ahead and wash your hair and then make sure to put some sort of hair care product in once you're out of the bath. I find that using hair products help to maintain my curls and prevent frizz (a bonus is that nine times out of ten it makes your hair smell delicious).

4. Once you're finished having a bath and all dry you should literally just lather your body in body butter because do you know what's better than shaved legs and fresh bed sheets? Moisturised shaved legs and fresh bed sheets, uh huh that's right. I love the feeling of being moisturised, it makes me feel so soft and makes me smell so good that I could eat my arm (only joking, sorta).

5. If you're getting ready to get changed into normal clothes at this point then I am frowning at you through the screen right now because just, why??? Now is the time to get into joggers, or a onesie or pyjamas - anything comfortable. So comfortable that you feel like angels are cuddling your body.

6. Nearly every single part of you has now been pampered, your brain, your hair, your face, your body but, do you know what hasn't? Your nails. I love it when I have my nails painted, especially when my toenails match my nails, it makes me feel like I've really got my life together (haha). If I was you because getting into Autumn I'd paint them a dark colour, right now mine are burgundy and I'm loving it.

7. Everything is done so now is the time for you to get tucked up in the sofa or all cuddled up in bed. Maybe read a book, or watch a movie or a series (hey gossip girl).

I hope you take some time out a couple of days a month to have a diy pamper day because you deserve to relax.

For me, black jeans are a staple piece and a must have in both boys and girls wardrobes. They go with virtually anything and everything meaning that the looks you can create are endless. Basically I just LOVE black jeans (as does anyone) so, I thought I'd share with you three of my favourite looks that I like to create using them.

This look is pretty laid back and casual with a slight bit of edge to it, I love this outfit and pretty much any outfit similar to this. I have a huuuuge love for shirts, especially this one (I stole it off my dad did he'll never see it again, unless I'm wearing it). This is a really practical look for summer especially because it's not too hot to wear but if it did become too hot I can just wrap the shirt around my waist and abracadabra, it's like a whole new outfit.

Shirt - Next
Top - Topshop
Jeans - River Island

This next look is a vintage look which makes my heart so warm and happy. Vintage vintage vintage, what isn't there to like? The reason why I love vintage looks is because they stand out from a mile as vintage but you could bet your soul that no one will have the same outfit because it's VINTAGE.

Shirt - Vintage shop in Chester
Jeans - River Island

My final look is making me excited for running through crunchy leaves and sipping hot chocolate whilst walking through the cold because it has Autumn and Winter written all over it. Personally, I love autumn and winter and everything that comes with them seasons even the cold. But, of course the best thing is the outfits and the knitted jumpers, ahhhhh.

Jumper - Urban Outfitters
Jeans - River Island
Scarf - Marakesh

I hope this helped give you a little inspiration of what to pair with your black jeans because as I said before, the looks are endless.

How are you styling yourself this autumn?

I'm an introvert so naturally, I'm a shy person and very much in my own head. I used to misinterpret my shyness for a lack of confidence which yes, I didn't have any confidence but I have now come to realise that confidence isn't about whether you're shy or not, it's about acceptance and loving yourself. For years I'd wish to be like the type of person that's the loudest in the room and be able to speak at the top of my voice in a room full of people because I thought that loud people were confident people, go figure. However, that's totally not the case.

For me, confidence is about believing in yourself, loving yourself and accepting yourself. It's believing in your opinions and the things that you do and don't like and standing up for them beliefs. It's loving yourself enough to know what you deserve and not settling for anything less. It's accepting your flaws and the person that you are and embracing them. Confidence is something that should belong to everyone.

Confidence isn't one of them things that can just grow over night and it is one of them things that people can unfortunately destroy which is why it's so important to work hard every day at improving and building upon it so that it's so big it's impossible to destroy (I'm getting distracted because I'm listening to music and I'm probably going to end up writing out the song lyrics in a minute). This year I decided to make a change which is what this whole "Positive vibes" thing is about, it's everything I've learnt and am continuing to learn on my journey. Anyway, confidence is something that I've grown a lot more of and yes I've got a long way to go but I can definitely say that I'm confident in the person I am.

I think that a lot of people think that confidence is being happy with how you look but, that's not true. If confidence was a tree you'd be able to see all the branches that add up to create "confidence". Confidence is knowing that there's no such thing as "perfection" and you have to be okay with that. Confidence is loving yourself inside and out. So please remember that the rain and storms are going to help you grow and you will come out of the other end stronger, bigger and better. Just keep working on yourself. I believe in you.
