We are finally on the east coast of the states!
We’re staying at a resort in Laguna Niguel, Orange County, with a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean.
Orange County is a County in California with an estimated population of 3 million people. It’s the home to a lot of rich people and is a popular destination for tourists. The Native Americans was the first people who inhabited the area, but in 1776 the first Europeans settled there and nowadays the white non-Hispanics constitutes the majority of the population.
I started off yesterday with taking an early morning jog on the beach and then relaxed by the pool for a while before it was time for breakfast. I had booked the rest of the day to stay in the hotel’s spa since my body and mind really needed a day full of relaxing after all of these past travel days. I didn’t do much after the spa, I pretty much just chilled in my room until it was time to go to bed.
Today, however, it was time to live the day as a part of the TV show “the O.C”. I had planned out a couple of these iconic locations from the show and had a full day ahead of me. The first place on the list was the Newport Harbour, where I visited the Balboa pier and Ruby’s Diner. Ruby’s Diner is a diner that’s completely 1940’s inspired with bright red booths and chrome accents. I had never eaten at a restaurant like this, so it was definitely an unforgettable experience. I then rented a boat at the marina and explored a bit in the area before I docked in the middle of nowhere to lay on the bow and enjoy the moment. I had forgotten to bring the sunblock and happened to fall asleep for quite a while, so let me just say that I look like a ridiculously red tomato. It’s not pretty.
Anyhow, I’ll write again soon!
