Before the exchange

For my EF High School Exchange year I had to make an application video. The vide is about me, my interests and a normal day in my life. I hope you enjoy the video, and maybe inspire you how to make yours (if you also are going on an exchange year).

I hope you enjoyed the video,

Before the exchange

To introduce myself, and to start off this blog, I thought that the "exchange student tag" would be great. I have seen other exchange students do this before, both on blogs and on Youtube. I hope you find this interesting, and that you feel like you got to know me a little better :)

What is you name, age and nationality?

My name is Anna, I am sixteen years old and I am from Norway.

Which organization are you going with?

I am going with an organization called EF, Education First.

How long are you going to be on exchange?

I am going to be on exchange for a total of ten moths!

Where are you spending your exchange year?

I am going to spend my year in North-Carolina, USA.

Have you gotten your host family yet?

Yes! I actually got mine pretty fast, I got my host family early November. And I am SO happy with them!

When are you leaving for your exchange?

I am not really sure when I am leaving, but i believe I leave som time between mid-July, early August. I am going to be a part of the class of '19, which means that I am going on mye exchange the school year 18/19.

Are you going to the Welcome Days?

No, I am actually going to the EF Camp instead. It is 10 days instead of only 3, and I am super excited!

What are you looking forward to the most?

I am really looking forward to meet my host family for the first time and to really be a part of their family. I am also looking forward to all the new experiences I am going to get, and to see new places and meet new people. It is also going to be super cool to feel the "high school spirit" like I see in all the American movies!

Which places do you want to visit while you're in the USA?

Oh, there is so many places I want to go! But the "main places" I want to visit must be the place where I am going to live, North-Carolina, and I also want to visit New York. Luckily, since I am going to the EF Camp, I will get the opportunity to visit New York.

Is it many days until you leave?

Both yes, and no. It is about a litte over half a year, which sounds soooo long, but when I am leaving I bet it will feel like I didn't get enough time to say goodbye to all of my friends and family.

Something you're looking forward to when it comes to school?

YES! It may sound weird that I am so excited for school, but the schools in America looks so cool (at least in the movies). I can't wait to go to homecoming, to feel the "high school spirit" and to watch school football games. Overall I am just super excited about school!

Do you think you'll get homesick?

Of course, but that is just a part I have to deal with. I just have to remember that living in another county with another family isn't worse or better, its just different.

I hope you enjoyed this tag,

Anna
