Dear Diary!
I am sick and tired of being ill by now. As you very well know I have been fighting my illness for quite some time and this week it have just steadily grown worse. Between Monday and Friday I had a total number of 8 hours sleep, with the night between Thursday and Friday being the worse with the total of zero. The reason for this has been my coughing, it has forced me to sit up during the nights and Friday morning I gave up and went to a doctor. He found out what was wrong and gave me medication for it, among other things antibiotics. The antibiotics makes me sick (in the sense of feeling like I might throw up), something I really noticed on the seminar I rushed to straight after my visit with the doctor. I have come to realise that I am ALWAYS sick during my seminars, but at least this one went okay. However, as my group was finishing up, I began to feel more sick and instead of focusing on what other people said just focused on NOT throwing up all over the classroom. In the end I had to rush out. The comment of the teacher and my friends that I met on my way home was that I looked like a mix between grey and green in skin colour. The weekend was kind of slow, but this morning started by me laying on the bathroom floor for two hours throwing up all of my medication.... I have to call the doctor tomorrow again....
Well, enough whining for now!

Dear Diary!
This week has been a lot better than the last few weeks. I am still not completely healthy, but at least I am finally seeing some improvements. Just the fact that I can once more lay down to sleep without coughing my lungs out feels fantastic. This week I have signed my first contract for an apartment of my own, meaning that the crisis with my roommate leaving me is no longer considered a crisis. Also, we have started our second semester in school and the first module seems to have the potential to be one of my favorites. The course is about international migration, meaning everything from the history of migration leading up to the situation today and it views many different forms of migrants, for example labour migrants (the biggest category within the area of migrants) and refugees. One of the most fascinating things we have learned so far is that before this last wave of refugees, the total percentage out of the world population that are migrants (in all forms) was 3 % and that the number has only risen to approximately 3.3 % after this last wave. This truly shows that the idea of the refugee crisis as "Half the world fleeing for their lives" is total bullshit. We have learned so much more, but I feel it would be a bit silly to fill a diary with just facts about migration.

Dear Diary!
This weekend have been worse than expected: Sick, sick, sick. By now I am only coughing instead of every other shitty thing.  The only thing I have done since my last entry (apart from blowing my nose and feeling sorry for myself) is going out to celebrate one of my friends last night as she turned 23 yesterday. The night was quite great, it was incredibly cold to wait for the others (me and my roommate was early as usual), the food was quite gross (the restaurant was cosy, but the owner/only waitress was clumsy and did not even knew what she was serving. The food only tasted onion and paper and the drinks my friends drank tasted disgusting. After that it was quite late, but we visited espresso house for some coffee while we waited for the bus my friends were taking. I could barely sleep at all lat night and got a total of about 3 hours of sleep due to my coughing keeping me awake. And I had to postpone my trial day for a job that was supposed to be tomorrow as I am STILL not well. Hopefully by next week I will be back in full awesomeness ;)

Dear Diary!
Last weekend was incredibly relaxing, something I really needed. I finally had some time to just read again and it was simply amazing. I have missed it SO much. This week on the other hand has been a week from hell. I started feeling sick Monday, having a sore throat and therefore began to live of tea, lemon water and other healthy things. Sadly I was too late and the cold has only grown worse as the days progressed and yesterday when I went to see an apartment where I am in second place (the apartment was simply fantastic, so there is no way the person with number one is going to turn it down) I was barely able to stand on my feet. Today we handed in the home exam and the seminar and now it is official: That was one of my worst seminars ever. Not only did we have to walk by my crush (my last time seeing him as he will go back to his home country now that his semester abroad is finished) with me being all disgusting, feverish, a bit sweaty and just extremely snotty... Then I messed up the seminar as well of course, and almost passed out on the bus back home. I have now given up fighting this cold from hell... :( Hopefully I will be better next week, not only so I can live again, but also so that this diary will consist of more than me whining about being ill.
So, until the next time then!

Dear Diary!
The last few days have been slow and boring and at the same time the have just flashed by. Wednesday was mostly spent in the car, a trip which was both a bit awkward (it was the first time my parents (the were the ones driving) met my roommate) and very boring. The car was packed full, just like it is every time we say we wont bring much and my parents were listening to the sports on the radio, something neither me nor my roommate was interested in. When we got back, we went to the store to buy the most important things and then just spent the evening unpacking and catching up with each other.

Yesterday was different, in some ways also a lot worse. The day started out well enough, we had plans on going to the bigger store to get our monthly food shopping done, something that might not sound overly hard, but add the fact that the ground is covered in a thick layer of snow on top of ice and also that it was snowing the whole day. And, if this was not enough to annoy us, we also had to take the bus (since it is not possible to go by bike in this weather) and the closest bus stop is about a kilometer away. I know, it is not that far, but add the fact that we have to climb something which it closely related to a mountain it was a pain in the ass. Also, even though we did not think we were going to buy all that much, we ended up with 5 big bags and two other big packages. After that we decided to eat some lunch and just relax, get some studying done and so on but my roommate managed to find a couch on a second hand internet page that was kind of close by to us (about 1 kilometer). As she is moving out in just a few weeks we decided to go look at the couch and it was a really good one to a fantastic price so we decided to buy it. That meant we had to carry it back home, (up the mountain) and considering it was quite a big couch as well as two armchairs we had to go three times. My bode has not stopped aching yet, and let me tell you that it took us over two hours to finish carry the things. As you might imagine, when we were done with this we only wanted to shower and then go to bed, but guess what? Our shower drain was blocked and we had to call the landlord to get him to fix it for us. After all that I passed out for the night, completely dead.

Today has been quite a good day. We got up late, ate a big breakfast (oatmeal among other things. Euw). We went to my roommates new apartment to look at it for the first time in real life, she saw it through face time when she decided to get it, but we wanted to see it for real too. Of course, this meant walking a total of about 7 km in a snowstorm, but the apartment was nice, albeit quite small. We have both gotten a bit of cooking done so we have food for the school week and of course studied. Now I am going to read a bit and then go to bed.

Dear Diary!
Today has been quite a slow day, I have not done overly much at all. I got up quite late, or at least late according to the standard of my family, I had my disgusting oatmeal for breakfast (as my new years resolution I promised to learn to like or at least eat, oatmeal for breakfast). This may be a boring entry considering that this start was about as exciting my day was. I did all of the usual things I do when I am staying with my parents, meaning walking the dog for his Lunch walk (about 6 km) and fed the birds and the roe deers (we now have 6 of them, 2 young ones and their 2 mothers as well as the 2 lone ones. One new mother and child this year). As it is my last day home before going back to school I also took the opportunity to enjoy the bathtub one last time, soaking in the water with some scented oils.
My parents came home around 17.30 (5.30 PM) and as they did I borrowed one of the cars to go buy some groceries. I know, very exciting, right? Tomorrow will be a slow day as well as my parent will drive me back to school (about 5-6 hours in the car) and then I must go and buy some more groceries when I arrive (cause you know, milk and the alike do not survive for 6 hours in the heated car). Everything is a mess in my "second life at school" right now as my roommate will move out (she has found an amazing apartment, and I am happy for her. I just wish I had found something too). This means that not only will I for the first time be faced with having to live with a stranger, we also have sort through all of our common things (like the floor mop, the oven and so on). And on top of that, we only have a few more days to finish our home exam. The joys of being a university student...
Well I guess that is enough whining for today!
