Sheridan Smith has made her first public appearance since the tragic loss of her dad, Colin in December – unveiling an emotional tribute in the form of a new tattoo.
In her first event since the sad news broke, Sheriden attended the launch of Italian bar, Bunga Bunga in Covent Garden alongside stars such as X Factor runner-up, Saara Aalto – and unveiled the sweet message.
In memory of her dad, the Cilla actress has had the words ‘Daddy’s Girl’ inked on right forearm which she showed off in a striking gold dress.
According to The Sun, Sheridan was in high spirits as performed two songs from her sold out West End show, Funny Girl as well as singing with drag act, Johnny Sizzle.
The star’s dad sadly passed away at the age of 80 after being diagnosed with cancer last year.
A spokeswoman for the 35-year-old announced the sad news in a statement on December 2, which read: ‘Sheridan’s much loved father sadly passed away this week.
‘We can confirm that she will not be performing at the Royal Variety Performance this Tuesday 6th December.
‘At this difficult time for Sheridan and her family we would ask that you please respect their privacy.’
